People keep telling me to take the columns down from the web site because it lowers my chances of being published for actual money if they are all available for free.  I don't really care about that.  This column was never about money --it was always about a chance to break down the barriers between all of us who are so earnestly engaged in trying to guide the small humans who have been entrusted to our care.

And frankly, I like the web as a virtual scrapbook of my kids' lives. 

So, I'm keeping the columns up here and if you hear people say that they won't buy the book because they can get all the columns for free already, just smile pityingly at them because they just don't GET it.  (And besides, I don't have any more copies of the book anyway.)
